'Tranform I' is the debut album from rootsy reggae outfit Dubkasm. The Bristol based crew have a neat line in mixing Brazilian samba elements with their homegrown dub reggae sound, resulting in a rich fusion of militant steppas and skanking roots with Brazilian instrumentation like Berimbau, Zabumba, Cavquinho and Cuica. The project also involves nine volcalists from both sides of the Atlantic, connecting Brazilian singers like Ras Bernado and Jeru Banto with, errr, Levi Roots, Tena Stelin and Afrikan Simba. Fans of RSD's Bristol sound will love this.
